This Spring Semester 2025, we witnessed another group of brave, resilient young adults walk across the graduation stage. It was not just a ceremony—it was a testament to everything they had endured, achieved, and become.
A Leap of Faith and the Journey to Growth
For many, coming to Cumorah Academy is an act of courage. It means leaving behind jobs, families, and the life they’ve always known to pursue something greater: the possibility of who they can become. They save money, say their goodbyes, and fly thousands of miles with nothing more than a suitcase and a dream. But more than anything, they bring the courage to grow.
Graduation at Cumorah Academy marks the culmination of that journey. Students don’t just arrive here to take classes—they come to transform. Each week of the semester is filled with intense learning, mentorship, and service. But behind every activity lies deep emotional resilience. From culture shock to self-doubt, students must navigate a complex inner journey.

At graduation, emotions overflow. The tears on their faces speak louder than words. They reveal the inner battles fought and won, the friendships forged, the lessons learned, and the faith strengthened. At this moment, many students ask:
- “What will my life look like if I live all I’ve learned here?”
- “How can I combine this experience with my skills and build something meaningful?”

“Let’s Grow and Make History Continue”
During the graduation ceremony, many voices echoed the powerful impact of this semester. Yuliia, one of our top-performing students, captured it beautifully when she said, “Let’s grow and make history continue.” Her words weren’t just about personal development; they were a call to action. A reminder that growth doesn’t end here.
Similarly, Cindy from Brazil addressed her peers with moving honesty:
“We change each other’s lives, and now it’s our turn to change others’ lives.”
These speeches remind us that the heart of Cumorah is transformation and the ripple effect that follows. Students become changemakers, not only through what they know, but by who they’ve become.
Kelly Shepherd, our Chief Learning Officer, challenged students with a powerful question:
“What return will you give?”
This question defines the spirit of our academy. It’s not just about receiving an education; it’s about giving back to families, communities, and the world.
Graduation at Cumorah Academy: Celebrating Lives of Purpose
Graduation isn’t just for students—it’s a time to celebrate everyone who made this experience possible. Our staff and mentors play an essential role in this journey. This semester, we honored Mike and Kenna, our incredible Advisory Couple, for their constant support, and Donn and Cheryl Mason, our Campus President and his wife, for their leadership.
We also took a moment to celebrate student excellence. Both Yuliia and Alexandre from Brazil stood out for their outstanding campus performance. Their dedication inspired peers and staff alike. And let’s not forget a special celebration: it was also Lehi’s birthday from Spain—part of the Isaiah group, which proudly won the House Cup!
As students reflected on the semester, many shared memories of the classes and mentors who impacted them most. Whether it was a sales workshop, leadership training, or spiritual insight, every experience shaped their personal mission and path forward.
