Joseph joined us for the Fall Semester of 2024. He brought with him not only a desire to grow but also a willingness to be changed. By the time he returned home, he wasn’t the same. That’s the power of the spirit of Cumorah.
His journey didn’t start on a college website, a fancy brochure, or even at a career fair. It began with a LinkedIn message.
“William Vieira, who was working as an enrollment advisor at the time, reached out to me through LinkedIn,” Joseph recalls.
Yes, completely unexpected. But sometimes, life-changing opportunities come in the most surprising ways. That single message opened a door Joseph never thought existed. He didn’t know it yet, but his life was about to change forever.
How Do You Measure Success?
That’s a question we often ask at Cumorah Academy. For some, success means money, fame, or career advancement. But Joseph’s answer reflects the deeper lesson we strive to teach each student:
“Success is not measured by material things, money, or how famous you are. It’s about the feeling of fulfillment. And that can only happen when you figure out your life’s purpose and how you can make a significant impact in the lives of others.”

Before Cumorah Academy, Joseph was living with his family in Venezuela and working at an e-commerce agency as an advertising specialist focused on the Amazon marketplace. Life was steady but predictable.
“I was doing okay,” he says. “But I felt like there was more to life. I wanted to grow. I wanted to become more.”
When Joseph arrived at our campus in Central Europe, he felt the spirit of Cumorah — a mix of hope, determination, unity, and belief in personal transformation. That spirit is what makes our campus experience unforgettable.
“What makes the campus experience so thrilling is that you feel motivated to change now. The atmosphere compels you to grow,” Joseph says.
It’s not just the classes or the schedule. It’s the people. The mentors. The community. The shared values. The idea that you don’t have to wait for the perfect moment to act on your dreams.
A Global Outlook with Local Roots
As Joseph immersed himself in the learning experience, something shifted. His confidence grew. His vision expanded. He began to believe that he could compete in the global market — and he was right.
“I received job offers to work for international companies — even one from a European company. This experience gave me the confidence to apply for jobs anywhere in the world.”
He also improved his communication skills, particularly in English, preparing him to work in international environments and build bridges across cultures.
The Return: A Better Version of Himself
In many hero’s journeys, the character leaves home, faces challenges, and returns transformed. Joseph’s story is no different.
“I returned from Cumorah with a clear purpose in my mind and a secure vision of my plans and life direction. I came back with unforgettable experiences, valuable lessons, and deep connections with people who enriched my life in ways I never imagined.”
And then came the results.
“Since returning home in December, my professional life has taken an incredible turn. I landed a job that pays me twice as much as I earned before.”
But the growth didn’t stop there.
Future Pro Network: A Business Born from the Spirit of Cumorah

“One of the biggest milestones in this journey has been the launch of my business, which was born thanks to the tools and support I received at Cumorah Academy.”

“Trust in God and believe in yourself,” Joseph says. “That’s the only way forward.”
