Session 3 of 2026 has officially started at Cumorah Academy!
A new group of young adults has arrived on campus. They are ready to learn, grow, build friendships, and discover new possibilities.
Every session brings something unique to our community. Each group arrives with different experiences, goals, backgrounds, and dreams.
This session also gives us a chance to reflect on the year so far. We can celebrate the projects, accomplishments, and growth we have witnessed.
Preparing for a New Session
Before the students arrived, our staff leaders gathered to prepare for the semester.
Together, they discussed strategies for creating the best possible experience. Their preparation considered the students’ needs, goals, and opportunities for growth.
Every session creates new opportunities for learning and connection.
New students bring different perspectives and personalities to campus. A new season also creates different experiences and challenges.
Meanwhile, the world continues to change around us.
Technology develops at an incredible pace. New tools and technologies appear almost every day.
To thrive in this environment, young adults must learn to adapt quickly. They also need skills that remain valuable despite constant change.
At Cumorah Academy, we believe leadership skills provide that foundation.
Building Skills for the Future
Technology may change quickly, but strong leadership skills remain valuable.
Communication helps young adults connect, collaborate, and lead others.
Problem-solving gives them the tools to approach challenges with confidence. Creativity encourages them to explore new possibilities and develop innovative solutions.
Persistence helps them continue when circumstances become difficult. Gratitude teaches them to recognize the people and opportunities around them.
These skills can support young adults in many areas of life. They can strengthen their education, careers, families, and communities.
Most importantly, these skills help shape the future we are building today.
Investing in young adults means investing in that future.
When we support their development, we also strengthen the communities they will influence.
Their leadership can strengthen families, organizations, and communities.
Their success becomes our collective success.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Life at Cumorah Academy goes beyond traditional classroom learning.
Students participate in experiences that challenge them to grow personally and professionally. Through these experiences, they discover more about themselves and their abilities.
Meeting people from different countries also expands their perspectives.
New friendships can become an important part of their experience. Those connections often continue long after students leave campus.
For many young adults, Cumorah becomes a starting point for something bigger.
New skills can give students greater confidence in their next steps. A clearer vision can also help them make meaningful decisions about their future.
Entrepreneurship becomes one path for some students after Cumorah. Others pursue new career opportunities or continue their education.
Service also becomes an important part of many students’ journeys.
Every Student Has a Different Dream
The students joining Session 3 have different goals for their time at Cumorah.
One student from Brazil, Carolina Vergara, shared:
“I want to improve my English, make friends with people from other countries, learn new things and other cultures, and be healthier.”
Another student, Laura Ospina from Colombia, shared:
“I want to be more comfortable with myself, and I want to help others listen and learn.”
Although their goals differ, they share something important.
Each student wants to grow and make meaningful progress.
A student from Peru, Annie Rios, also expressed her excitement about this opportunity.
“I feel very grateful for this opportunity, and at the same time I feel excited because I know that I will learn a lot of things and improve my life.”
Her goals include improving her English and developing her understanding of leadership.
“I want to improve my English, and I want to learn more deeply about the concept of leadership.”
Stories like these remind us why every session matters.
Behind every new student stands a person with dreams, questions, challenges, and potential.
The Impact Continues After Cumorah
The Cumorah experience does not end when students leave campus.
Our alumni community continues to demonstrate what young adults can accomplish after their time here.
Through our alumni stories, we share their achievements and experiences after returning home.
Entrepreneurship has become part of many alumni journeys. Others have built careers, started families, or discovered new ways to serve.
Each person follows a different path.
Yet their experiences can lead them toward greater responsibility and meaningful impact.
One person can influence a family. One family can influence a community.
That impact can continue from one generation to another.
We feel proud to have played a part in each student’s journey. Cumorah Academy helps young adults identify their talents and understand how they can use them.
Our mission goes beyond individual success. We want young adults to become leaders who positively influence the people around them.
