Embryo Poet by Mack Fontano: A Journey of Faith, Creativity, and Growth

October 8, 2025  •  Author: marketing

Embryo Poet by Mack Fontano has been conceived to inspire us in our never-ending quest to connect with something bigger than ourselves. From the beginning of human history, people have sought to put into words the yearning for meaning beyond daily life.

On a personal level, essentially every one of us has felt this desire — that pull to come closer to something greater than we are. It is a feeling that is hard to describe, but it has been explored by some of the most talented writers the world has ever known.

Now, a young writer and former intern at Cumorah Academy, Mack Fontano, has joined this league of authors who are willing to combine spirituality with the power of the written word. Her book, Embryo Poet, was born from scripture study, prayer, and the courage to put questions into poetry. It’s not just a book — it’s a testimony of growth, creativity, and faith in action.

Why Embryo Poet by Mack Fontano Matters Today

Every great writer, no matter their faith background, has at some point touched on spiritual matters. Even William Shakespeare, often considered the greatest writer of all time, filled his plays with biblical references and reflections on God, eternity, and the soul.

Embryo Poet by Mack Fontano continues this tradition for our generation. It’s a reminder that spirituality is not separate from creativity — in fact, the two are deeply intertwined. Writing, art, and storytelling are some of the most powerful ways we express our divine heritage.

At Cumorah Academy, students and interns often arrive with dreams that have been waiting for years to be realized. Some launch businesses, others discover new careers, and some even start families. Mack’s journey shows us that creativity, too, is part of that legacy. Her book is a dream come alive — a testament that when faith and action meet, something powerful is born.

The Journey to Cumorah Academy

Mack’s path to Embryo Poet began long before she set pen to paper. In Spring 2024, she came to Cumorah Academy as a Content Creator Intern, following the example of a friend who had previously interned there.

The decision to leave the U.S. for the first time wasn’t simple. Like the heroes of classic fairy tales, she faced a “Call to Adventure” moment. Should she stay comfortable, or step into the unknown? In the end, the joy of adventure and the chance to grow spoke louder than fear.

Reflecting on her experience, Mack shared:

“Cumorah Academy has impacted my life in so many ways! I got to travel outside America for the first time in my life, so there were a lot of things I learned about traveling, visiting a foreign country, and trying new things. I gained a lot of confidence and made a lot of great memories.”

That leap of faith was the beginning of something bigger — the same courage that fueled her writing project also helped her embrace a new world of experiences.

The Birth of Embryo Poet by Mack Fontano

Where did the idea for Embryo Poet come from? Mack recalls a moment in 2021, during her personal scripture study. She came across a teaching that described human beings as “gods and goddesses in embryo.”

This phrase struck her profoundly. She had never heard it before, and it led her to dive deeper into its meaning. In medical terms, an embryo is what we call a developing baby during the first eight weeks of life. The symbolism was clear: just as embryos grow in preparation for a fuller stage of existence, so too are we growing spiritually, preparing for something greater.

As Mack put it:

“If we are gods and goddesses in embryo, does that mean that earth life is comparable to the first 8 weeks in the womb? The embryo’s job is just to grow and develop inside the womb for 8 weeks. Is our job as embryos to grow and develop attributes that will one day help us become gods?”

This analogy brought more questions: Are we as dependent on God as an embryo is on its mother? Are our creative impulses — our yearning to write, to build, to design — evidence of our divine DNA?

Creativity as Evidence of the Divine

Through her reflections, Mack began to see creativity itself as proof of divine inheritance. She explained:

“I realized that our creative impulses are one of the clearest signs of that divine heritage. God is the great Creator, and the yearning we feel to create is a small but sacred reflection of Him. Creativity is not just a pastime; it is evidence of the divine DNA already within us, quietly awakening as we grow.”

This realization became the seed of Embryo Poet. It wasn’t just a book project — it was a spiritual journey, a way to wrestle with questions about identity, potential, and the purpose of mortal life.

Embryo Poet by Mack Fontano challenges us to see ourselves differently: as divine beings in progress, already carrying within us the essence of God’s creativity and love.

Cumorah Academy is Pure Poetry

For those who have had the chance to visit our campus, it’s easy to see the beauty that surrounds us. The trees, the fields, and the peaceful atmosphere are simply breathtaking.

But more than just a beautiful place, Cumorah Academy has a way of inspiring all who come. This unique environment moved Mack so deeply that she couldn’t help but express her feelings through her pen. Feeling inspired by her experience, she wrote this heartfelt poem:

“Cumorah beckons, a call so bright
For hearts yearning for truth and light
With Czechia’s embrace, you’ll meet
A semester of growth, if you seek
In the beautiful Czech countryside
Cumorah Academy there abides
Through fields of canola and orchards of green
A haven of peace, one’s potential seen
Where students gather from around the world
United by faith, a purpose unfurled
To learn, to teach, to serve, to play
Together we grow each passing day
Here at Cumorah, the purpose is clear
Cumorah’s mission is one we hold dear
To walk with Christ, a guiding light
Embrace His teachings with all our might
Lives, careers, homes, and communities too
Positively impacted by the things you do
This noble pursuit, a flame to ignite
At Cumorah Academy, your future takes flight.”

Through Mack’s poem, we’re reminded that Cumorah’s true beauty lies not only in its surroundings but in the people who fill it with faith, service, and purpose. Together, they make Cumorah Academy a place where hearts are inspired and lives are transformed.

Lessons for Future Students and Interns

Mack’s story is inspiring not only because of her book but also because of what she learned along the way. To future students and interns considering Cumorah Academy, she offers simple but profound counsel:

  1. Go to Cumorah! — “It’s truly life-changing,” she insists. The chance to study, work, and live in an international community creates growth that is impossible to replicate elsewhere.
  2. Never stop praying. Life is filled with uncertainties, but turning to God for guidance brings clarity and courage.
  3. Trust in God’s timing. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but each step is part of a greater plan.
  4. Be vulnerable with God. Opening up isn’t always easy, but it deepens the relationship and reminds us how much He loves us.

Ultimately, what Mack took away from writing Embryo Poet is this: “God loves me. And He loves you, too.”
