Cumorah Academy Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.cumorahacademy.org, our application forms, and the communications we send you (together, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Cumorah Academy, a non-profit organization registered as a 501(c)(3) in the United States (EIN: 85-0617150) (“Cumorah Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Cumorah Academy offers leadership, personal development, English, and career programs for young adults, including the Founders for Futures program. By using the Services, submitting a form, or opting in to receive messages from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Cumorah Academy is not owned or sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

2. Use of the Services

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with other users or with the operation of the website. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, upload harmful code, or use the Services to send unsolicited messages.

3. Applications, Accounts and Accuracy of Information

When you submit an application, a form, or create an account with us, you agree to provide information that is true, accurate, and complete, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Please notify us at support@cumorahacademy.org if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Submitting an application does not guarantee admission, a scholarship, or a place in any program. Admission decisions, program availability, and scholarship amounts are determined by Cumorah Academy according to its own criteria.

4. SMS / Text Messaging Terms

Program description. Cumorah Academy sends text messages to people who opt in through our website or application forms. Non-marketing messages are about your application, advising call and interview reminders, enrollment steps, tuition and payment reminders, and program logistics. If you separately opt in to marketing messages, we may also send information about upcoming sessions, scholarships, events, and fundraising campaigns. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of applying or of any purchase.

Opting out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to +1 385-325-3200. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

Help. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at support@cumorahacademy.org.

Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Message frequency and rates. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive a varying number of messages, depending on the status of your application and enrollment. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

5. Tuition, Fees and Donations

Enrollment deposits, tuition, and other program fees are described in the participation agreement and/or Student Agreement you sign with Cumorah Academy, which governs payment terms, installments, and refunds. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and we do not store your full card details.

Donations to Cumorah Academy are voluntary and, except where required by law, non-refundable. Cumorah Academy is a 501(c)(3) organization; please consult your tax advisor about the deductibility of your gift.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Services, including text, logos, images, videos, and course materials, belongs to Cumorah Academy or its licensors. You may view and share it for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy, modify, or distribute it for any other purpose without our written permission.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may link to or use third-party websites and services, such as payment processors, social media, and fundraising platforms. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cumorah Academy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
