June 9, 2026  •  Author: Fernando Ferreira

Session 1 2026 has officially concluded, marking another powerful season of growth, discovery, resilience, and transformation at Cumorah Academy.

Over the course of three unforgettable months, students from around the world challenged themselves academically, professionally, spiritually, emotionally, and personally while building friendships and experiences that will continue shaping their lives long after graduation.

This semester demonstrated what can happen when potential meets purpose.

Session 1 2026: At a Glance

Impact Highlights:

  • More than 1,116 hours of community service completed
  • 7 service projects carried out on and beyond campus
  • 100% of Entrepreneurship students launched revenue-generating businesses
  • 100% of Career Development students secured better job opportunities
  • 96% Average increase in salary among Career Development students
  • 82.8% of students demonstrated Advanced Leadership Skills

Leadership and personal development outcomes were measured through student assessments, mentor evaluations, and program performance indicators conducted throughout the session.

These numbers represent more than statistics.

They represent students discovering confidence, developing new capabilities, strengthening faith, and becoming individuals prepared to create meaningful impact wherever life takes them.

A Season of Growth and Unexpected Moments

Every session at Cumorah Academy is unique because every student arrives with different experiences, talents, ambitions, strengths, and dreams.

That diversity creates something extraordinary.

It creates an environment where learning becomes deeply personal and transformation becomes possible.

Throughout Session 1, 2026, students stepped outside of their comfort zones in ways they never anticipated.

Some discovered confidence they did not know they possessed.

Some learned to lead.

Others found direction, purpose, and clarity for the future.

Impact on Students

Benjamin Campos, a student from Mexico, expressed:

“The most important lesson I learned here is to be a giver.”

Many developed friendships and mentorship relationships that became defining parts of their journey.

A student from Canada, Savannah Chan, felt inspired by her new friendships. “At Cumorah Academy, I was able to meet lots of different people,” she says. Savannah also expanded her leadership learning. “I loved learning about leadership skills: Delegation, giving feedback, and understanding leadership styles.”

Students participated in meaningful service opportunities that strengthened teamwork, compassion, and responsibility while creating real impact within the surrounding community.

At the center of every experience remained the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. Faith continued to guide our culture, relationships, and purpose throughout every aspect of campus life.

Students also experienced moments that expanded their perspectives beyond the classroom. Visits to Germany and Vienna provided opportunities for cultural and spiritual growth, allowing students to reflect, connect, and deepen their experiences.

Some moments, however, could never have been planned.

One of the most meaningful experiences of the semester was Melanie’s decision to be baptized.

It became a powerful reminder of the purpose behind everything we do.

Watching a student choose to follow Jesus Christ deeply impacted our community and reflected the kind of spiritual growth that becomes possible when students are surrounded by faith, mentorship, and support.

Not every important outcome can be measured.

But some moments become unforgettable reminders of why we exist.

Business & Entrepreneurship: Turning Ideas into Reality

Many students arrive at Cumorah Academy with creativity, ambition, and ideas.

What they often lack is experience, confidence, and a clear path for turning those ideas into reality.

The Business & Entrepreneurship Program exists to bridge that gap.

Throughout the semester, students explored:

  • Market research
  • Product development
  • Validating ideas and assumptions
  • Branding and positioning
  • Pricing strategies
  • Sales
  • Financial fundamentals
  • Problem-solving and innovation
  • Entrepreneurial thinking
  • Customer needs and validation strategies

Through mentorship, workshops, classes, and real-world implementation, students learned to move beyond ideas and into action.

Students were challenged to:

  • Develop creative and strategic thinking
  • Test and validate business concepts
  • Adapt and improve solutions
  • Understand customer behavior
  • Build confidence as entrepreneurs
  • Sell their product or service

The results were remarkable.

100% of Entrepreneurship students launched revenue-generating businesses during the session.

Students are left with practical experience that can influence their careers, communities, and opportunities for years to come.

Leadership Development: Building Strong Foundations

Leadership development remained one of the central focuses of Session 1 2026.

Students participated in leadership workshops, mentorship experiences, collaborative projects, and hands-on opportunities designed to strengthen both skill and character.

Leadership at Cumorah Academy extends beyond positions or titles.

Students learned how to:

  • Communicate with purpose
  • Navigate challenges
  • Support and lift others
  • Lead through service
  • Build trust and accountability

Service became one of the most powerful environments for growth.

Danilo Mayor, from Brazil, went with the group Isaiah to teach English to high school students. “By teaching English in the community, I was able to see that we have a positive impact.”

Leonardo Borghi, from Brazil and part of Ruth House, shared his feelings:

“It was amazing! I love teaching! It reminds me of my desire to be back and teach people.”

Students participated in projects such as planting trees, volunteering at food banks, teaching English, and supporting community initiatives.

Yaresi Preciado, from Mexico, shared her thoughts:

“This was a great opportunity to connect with friends and also contribute to the community.”

These experiences allowed students to identify real needs and respond meaningfully.

As leadership moved from theory into practice, growth became visible not only in what students accomplished but also in who they were becoming.

By the end of the semester:

82.8% demonstrated Advanced Leadership Skills

85.1% achieved Proficient or Advanced levels in Personal Accountability

These outcomes reflect meaningful internal growth and stronger habits of discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and self-leadership.

Spiritual Growth and Personal Development

At Cumorah Academy, growth extends beyond academics and professional preparation.

True development includes faith, emotional resilience, purpose, and personal confidence.

Throughout Session 1 of 2026, students faced moments that challenged them to grow spiritually and personally.

Through mentorship, reflection, service, and daily experiences, many discovered greater confidence in themselves and in their ability to overcome challenges.

For many students, this became one of the most meaningful and valuable aspects of their journey.

Career Readiness: Preparing Students for the Future

Our mission extends far beyond graduation.

We strive to prepare students for long-term success and meaningful opportunities beyond their experience at Cumorah Academy.

Throughout the semester, Career Development students focused on:

  • Career planning
  • Professional mentorship
  • Resume development
  • Interview preparation
  • Skill development
  • Personal branding

The outcomes reflected the impact of that preparation.

100% of Career Development students secured better job opportunities than they had before attending the program.

Even more significantly:

Average compensation increased by 96%.

These numbers represent much more than employment outcomes.

They represent students discovering their value, gaining confidence, and stepping into opportunities they once believed were out of reach.

Students left with stronger skills, greater clarity, and renewed confidence in their future.

Mentorship and Community: The Heart of the Experience

One of the defining elements of the Cumorah Academy experience remains mentorship.

Throughout the semester, students connected with mentors who guided them through reflection, accountability, leadership growth, and important life decisions.

Rather than simply providing answers, mentors encouraged students to think deeply, ask better questions, and better understand themselves.

Many of the most meaningful breakthroughs throughout the semester were shaped by these relationships.

Beyond mentorship itself, students, staff, speakers, and leaders created a community where growth was encouraged, and potential was consistently recognized.

This environment remains one of the most distinctive aspects of the Cumorah Academy experience.

Looking Forward: The Journey Continues

As Session 1 2026 concludes, we move forward carrying more than achievements and statistics.

We carry stories.

Stories of resilience.

Stories of leadership.

Alma Moreno, a student from Spain, expressed perfectly:

“My expectations were very high. I want to keep being a disciple of Jesus Christ. It’s a great place to grow spiritually and personally.”

Our students leave stronger, more prepared, and more confident in their ability to create value in their communities and influence the world around them.

And this is only the beginning.

As we prepare for future sessions, we continue strengthening the curriculum, expanding opportunities, improving learning experiences, and creating greater access for future students whose potential deserves an opportunity to grow.

To our students:

Thank you for your faith, dedication, courage, and commitment to growth.

We are excited to see how you continue shaping the future.

When Potential Meets Purpose: The Lasting Impact of Session 1 2026

Session 1 2026 at Cumorah Academy was marked by meaningful service, entrepreneurial achievement, leadership development, spiritual growth, and life-changing experiences that will continue shaping students long after graduation.

From launching revenue-generating businesses to securing better career opportunities, from strengthening faith to serving communities across borders, this session demonstrated the lasting impact that becomes possible when young people are surrounded by mentorship, purpose, and opportunity.

But this is more than the conclusion of a single semester.

It is part of a growing mission to develop capable, faith-centered leaders prepared to create meaningful impact in their families, communities, careers, and the world.

As Cumorah Academy looks toward future sessions, the vision continues to expand: creating greater opportunities for students to grow, lead, serve, and build lives centered on purpose and contribution.

The journey continues.
