Student Potential Unleashed in the Fall Semester of 2025

The Fall Semester of 2025 has officially come to a close, marking another season of learning, discovery, resilience, and transformation at Cumorah Academy. Another semester has come to an end, and a new year is now beginning.

We couldn’t be more excited about the accomplishments of our students.

As we look back on these past months, one truth remains constant: when students are trusted, guided, and given the tools to learn with purpose, student potential unleashed becomes more than a theme.

It becomes a lived experience.

This semester, our campus was filled with curiosity, innovation, service, friendship, and personal breakthroughs. Students pushed themselves not only academically, but also emotionally, spiritually, and professionally.

Their progress stands as a powerful reminder of what is possible when a supportive environment meets strong personal commitment.

Fall Semester 2025: A Semester Full of Surprises and Unforgettable Moments

It may sound like a cliché, but the truth is: every semester at Cumorah Academy is different from any other.

That happens due (mostly) to our students. Since every student is unique, that means their talents are likewise. They bring their sense of humor and aspirations, creating a colorful environment.

Additionally, there are many surprises that come unplanned, which add richness to our campus atmosphere. Service projects that involved the whole campus yielded many stories to tell. Our students partnered with the Wallace Toronto Foundation to restore an important city park.

Our campus fosters a warm atmosphere that promotes growth and ultimately transformation; students experience the values of our mission in everything we do. Everything we do has Christ at the center: His love, teachings, and example are our North Star.

With that being said, two of our students, Carlos Hernandez from Honduras and Maria Paula Diaz from Colombia, decided to follow Jesus Christ and were baptized. What a memorable moment for them and us!

Other memorable moments occurred when two General Authorities visited campus to teach our students about faith in Christ: Elder Kyle S. McKay and Elder James W. McConkie III came on different dates, and it was deeply meaningful to our students.

This and, of course, our travels to the Temple and Vienna enriched our schedules.

Sure, we cannot sum up the whole semester of Fall 2025 in just a few words, but one is for sure to describe:

Incredible.

Business & Entrepreneurship: Ideas That Turn Into Action

Entrepreneurship has opened many doors for our students.

On our blog page, several alumni started their own businesses using the ideas and strategies they learned from mentors and classes at Cumorah Academy.

Many arrive on campus eager to bring an idea to life. But often, the resources needed to properly implement a business are limited or out of reach.

That’s why our Business & Entrepreneurship Program exists: to transform raw ideas into actionable, sustainable ventures. This semester, students learned the foundations of great businesses—market research, problem-solving, marketing principles, pricing strategy, financial basics, and the mindset of an entrepreneur.

Through classes, workshops, and personalized mentoring, students were encouraged to:

  • Think creatively and strategically
  • Validate their ideas
  • Analyze their markets
  • Experiment and pivot
  • Build confidence as future founders

In fact, 93% of our Business students have launched revenue-generating businesses

This data represents courage, discipline, and readiness to embark on an entrepreneurial journey beyond the campus. Each student who took this step now carries experience that will empower their families, communities, and professions.

As you can read in our blog, many students felt inspired to enroll in our Business & Entrepreneurship course to broaden their perspectives.

Leadership Progress: Foundations That Last

Learning leadership is an ongoing pursuit, and this semester, our students laid a strong foundation that will carry them far beyond graduation. They participated in team projects, real-world challenges, mentoring sessions, reflections, and leadership workshops.

All designed to help them understand not just how to lead, but who they are as leaders.

They learned to uplift others, communicate effectively, and show up with purpose.

One of the most efficient ways to grow as a leader is through engaging in service and outreach projects. Thus, you’ll be able to locate specific needs and implement strategies to serve those needs. This past semester, students helped plant trees, taught English to high school students, volunteered at food banks, and participated in numerous other activities.

One student from Peru, Dallin Romero, was deeply touched by the opportunity to serve. Speaking of his project, he summarized his feelings with these words:

“We are here to practice and apply everything we learn. This project helps us be more empathetic to others. We need to help others.”

Dallin’s words captured the essence of our commitment to bring the best in young adults. They have grown so much in leadership skills. 73.3% of our students graduated with Advanced Leadership skills, and 83.3% are Proficient in Leadership

These milestones reflect internal transformation:

Clarified values, strengthened habits, and a deeper vision. Students leave Cumorah Academy not just prepared for leadership roles, but prepared to lead from within.

Spiritual Growth and Foundations of Personal Strength

As students develop leadership acumen, an interesting pattern emerges: their spiritual growth often becomes a natural and deeply meaningful outcome. At Cumorah Academy, personal development is not complete without the spiritual dimension; the understanding of purpose, faith, hope, divine help, and inner strength.

This semester brought remarkable growth in these areas:

  • 96.43% of students concluded the semester with high faith
  • 68.42% of students graduated with high emotional intelligence
  • 77.19% of students reported having high self-efficacy

These numbers represent more than progress; they represent confidence, clarity, and the emotional maturity to face future challenges. Students strengthened their inner world so they could stand firm in the outer one.

Career and Life Outcomes: Preparing for What Comes Next

Our mission extends beyond the semester.

We prepare students for life. They come to their communities ready and with skills they didn’t think they could develop.

Many left this semester with stronger résumés, clearer goals, and increased confidence in their professional path.

Key outcomes this semester include:

  • 53.3% of students found a job
  • 79% is their average increase in salary

Each success story represents a student stepping into the world with greater direction, more experience, and increased confidence in what’s possible.

Mentorship and Community: The Heart of Transformation

One of the most unique aspects of Cumorah Academy is our rich mentorship culture. Students have the chance to gather with mentors who guide them through self-discovery, accountability, and personal growth. Mentorship at Cumorah isn’t about giving answers. It’s about helping students ask better questions and see themselves more clearly.

This semester, mentorship played a crucial role in student breakthroughs. Students formed meaningful connections, gained clarity, and made decisions with more confidence and purpose.

The community—peers, instructors, guest speakers, staff—creates a supportive environment where student potential unleashed is truly possible. Trust, encouragement, and shared excellence define the Cumorah experience.

Looking Ahead: A New Chapter Begins

As we close the Fall Semester of 2025, we carry forward not just accomplishments, but stories. Stories of perseverance, creativity, friendship, leadership, faith, and transformation. Our students are not leaving the same as they arrived. They are leaving stronger, wiser, more confident, and more prepared to create value wherever they go.

And we are just getting started.

Our team is already preparing for the upcoming year, refining programs, deepening curriculum, and expanding opportunities. Because every semester represents a new chance to empower, uplift, and inspire.

Student potential unleashed is more than a phrase for us—it is our mission, our heartbeat, and the center of everything we do.

To our students: thank you for your energy, effort, optimism, and commitment to growth. The future is yours to shape, and we look forward to seeing what you will build next.
