Meet Our Interns: Session 3 2026

October 2, 2026  •  Author: Fernando Ferreira

Cumorah Academy interns play an important role in campus life, supporting students, contributing their skills, and creating meaningful connections. From the moment they arrive, they become part of a community focused on learning, leadership, personal growth, and service.

For Session 3 2026, we welcomed six interns from different backgrounds and areas of study. Each one brings unique skills, experiences, and expectations to their role. While they came to Cumorah Academy ready to contribute, they also expect to learn and grow throughout their time on campus.

Elizabeth Lauer: Content Creator Intern

Elizabeth Lauer comes from the United States and studies Business Management Marketing at Brigham Young University, Idaho. As a Content Creator Intern, she helps share the Cumorah Academy experience through content and storytelling.

Before arriving, she expected to grow her career, portfolio, and network. However, her experience quickly became broader than she expected.

“Before coming to Cumorah, my expectations were to grow my career, portfolio, and my network. However, in just 3 weeks, I have learned so much in even more areas of my life than I thought I would.”

She now looks forward to discovering how Cumorah Academy will influence more than just her professional development.

Bronx Holbrook: Wellness Intern

Bronx Holbrook comes from the United States and studies Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Psychology at Brigham Young University Idaho. His work as a Wellness Intern focuses on Conflict Resolution.

Bronx arrived expecting to help solve problems. His experience has already challenged that idea.

“Cumorah Academy has surpassed my expectations so far. I fully expected to come to Cumorah Academy to fix problems left and right. Boy, was I so wrong. Cumorah Academy, the staff, and the students are fixing me.”

For Bronx, being one of the Cumorah Academy interns means recognizing that learning goes both ways. While he supports students, he also considers himself a student who continues to learn from the people around him.

Milena Faria: Sales Intern

Milena Faria comes from Portugal and Brazil and has completed her studies in Applied Business Management. As a Sales Intern, she supports Sales and Career Development.

Milena expects her semester to bring new challenges, growth, and meaningful connections.

“I’m expecting this semester to be full of growth, new challenges, and meaningful connections. I’m excited to learn from others while also using what I’ve learned to help those around me grow.”

Her experience reflects an important part of being a Cumorah Academy intern: using your existing knowledge while remaining open to new perspectives and experiences.

Jose Diaz: Photo and Video Intern

Jose Diaz comes from Colombia and studies Communications at Ensign College. As a Photo and Video Intern, he helps capture the people, experiences, and activities that make campus life meaningful.

His goals for the semester are simple and personal.

“I want to grow, get out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and have new experiences.”

Through his role, Jose has the opportunity to develop his communication skills while documenting the experiences of students and the wider campus community.

Elena Peterson: English Intern

Elena Peterson comes from the United States and studies Psychology with a TESOL minor at Brigham Young University Idaho. She works with students through the English program.

Her expectations for the semester connect her academic interests with her faith.

“I expect Cumorah to be the experience I never knew I needed…but God did.”

As an English Intern, Elena can draw on her background in psychology and TESOL to connect with students from different countries and cultures. Like other Cumorah Academy interns, she brings her own perspective while becoming part of a much larger learning experience.

Sophia Tillotson: Business Intern

Sophia Tillotson comes from the United States and studies Business Management Marketing at Brigham Young University Idaho. As a Business Intern, she supports the Business and Entrepreneurship program.

Sophia hopes her work will help students recognize their potential and develop leadership in their own lives.

“I hope to be able to help my students become leaders in their own lives. I hope to create an environment where we can all learn from each other’s strengths and build each other up.”

Her goal captures the collaborative spirit that Cumorah Academy interns bring to campus. Their roles may differ, but each intern has an opportunity to contribute to student development.

Together, these Cumorah Academy interns bring different skills, academic backgrounds, cultures, and personal goals to Session 3 2026. Their experiences will continue to develop as they work with students, staff, and one another throughout the semester.
